Corruption Prevention in Human Resources for Aid Organizations
Corruption in human resources processes can undermine the trust and integrity of humanitarian and development organizations. From fake employees to conflicts of interest, such fraud schemes not only damage credibility but also reduce the efficiency of aid delivery. This training aims to provide participants with the tools to identify and prevent corruption in human resources practices.
Content
This full-day, in-person session focuses on understanding and mitigating corruption risks in human resources processes. Participants will engage with practical examples, explore prevention mechanisms and discuss effective response strategies.
Objectives
• Get an overview of human resources fraud schemes
• Understand the importance of pre-employment screening and reference checks to detect fraud.
• Learn more about managing conflicts of interest and implementing gift policies.
• Explore the importance of anti-corruption training within organizations.
Target group
This training is ideal for NGO professionals in the humanitarian and development sector, especially those with responsibilities in human resources, compliance or fraud prevention.
Preference will be given to:
• Participants of the online corruption awareness session or awareness module from October 2024.
• People from HR, compliance or investigations.
