This year's workshop will focus on partner orientation & decolonisation in evaluations. The workshop takes place on October 10 – 11, 2024, at DEval premises in Bonn. Parts of the workshop will be held in a hybrid format, enabling online participation for specific slots.
What does it take to shift power in evaluations?
The workshop will bring together MEAL experts from different backgrounds, including guest speakers, who will share ideas on partner orientation and decolonisation in evaluations and discuss the implications for evaluations in the context of German development policy.
Together, we wish to develop applicable ideas on the management of MEAL processes that contribute to the empowerment of those concerned, allowing all voices to be heard and creating a joint assessment of the evaluand.
The workshop is aimed at employees of member organizations who work directly with partner organizations as part of the project work.
