In the “Pact for the Future”, UN member states reaffirm their enduring commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals. Ending hunger and eliminating food and nutrition insecurity as well as enhancing ambitions to address the climate crisis are key actions in the pact. In this event, we would like to give representatives from civil society, governments, academia and other interested colleagues the opportunity to discuss the interlinkages between food and nutrition security, food systems and climate change, explore successful strategies for adaptation, and draw new conclusions for policy and integrated action across the climate, health and nutrition nexus.
VENRO is organising this hybrid event together with its partner platforms ABONG from Brazil, CCRDA from Ethiopia and VANI from India.
The event takes place on the occasion of the Summit of the Future at the Salvation Army's Central Manhattan Community Center in New York, East 52nd Street 221,10022 New York, USA and online via Zoom from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm (EDT) and will be followed by a short reception.
