We cordially invite you to the launch of the new NGO report “IMAGINE: How civil society organisations contribute to a peaceful world”. The hybrid event will take place on 29 January 2025 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm (CET) in Berlin and online.
The report highlights practical examples of civil society peace work in conflict-affected contexts - from supporting children and marginalised groups to ensuring that basic existential needs are met. It aims to enrich the peacebuilding debate in development policy and provide insights into integrating such approaches into organisational work.
We are delighted to announce that German Federal Minister Svenja Schulze of the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) will join us to discuss civil approaches to peacebuilding alongside Mercy Chidi (Ripples International) and Sonja Birnbaum (HelpAge).

Format
The Launch will be a hybrid event. We're inviting civil society organisations and their partners in the global south. For people who work in Germany, we offer on-site participation; people who work in (partner) organisations in other parts of the world are welcome to join us digitally. We kindly ask you to share this invitation with your partner organisations.
Costs
Participation in the event is free of charge. Travel and accommodation costs must be organised and paid by the participants themselves.
