Less than two percent of public climate finance is spent on supporting smallholders to adapt to or mitigate climate change. In this online-seminar we therefore look into policy recommendations to close this significant gap to enhance smallholders capacities to address adaption and mitigation challenges. From a civil society perspective we critically reflect these recommendations and specifically look into gender-sensitive and participatory approaches to increase smallholder income and reach food security.
