In late 2020, UNESCO launched its new programme “ESD for 2030“ in order to enable education for sustainable development to fulfill its key role in realising the SDGs. On October 11 2021, we discussed together with UNESCO‘s regional officers from Southern Africa, the Arab States, Europe and Latinamerica and the Caribbean, the state of ESD in different world regions, the expectations towards the UNESCO member states and their initiatives to contribute to the decade of action.
