Participants will get an introduction into standards for protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) and learn about good practices and real life case scenarios. The webinar aims at employees of development and humanitarian aid NGOs who wish to gain a basic understanding of PSEA and get an introduction to international standards.
Christine Ash-Büchner, certified trainer for the Core Humanitarian Standards and PSEA will give an introduction on definitions of sexual exploitation and abuse, the IASC Minimum Operations Standards and best practices. Participants are encouraged to send in a simple case scenario from their work if they have had to manage an allegation of sexualized violence for their organisation. Some of these case scenarios will be discussed anonomously. If you would like to share a case, please send a short discription to k.stahlecker(at)venro.org until the 7th of May 2020.
You can register online until 12 May 2020.
Participation is free of charge. The webinar will be in English. The webinar and statements will be documented.
