This workshop is a kick-off event for the handover from the current German to the Japanese C7 Presidency in 2023. The aim to present structures and learnings of this year’s C7 process and to discuss the plans and next steps for civil society regarding C7 2023.
First, we will introduce the process leading to the G7 leaders’ summit in May 2023. Following, representatives from the German C7 secretariat will present this year’s structures, learnings and strategies with insights on the overall process, the Working Groups and the final Communiqué. The third part of the workshop will cover the current status of C7 Japan with special regards to the thematic Working Groups.
The workshop will be interactive with room for Q&A and discussions. The event will be simultaneously translated into English and Japanese.
