Feministische Prinzipien – wie die Förderung von Gleichberechtigung, Inklusion und die Reflektion von Machtgefällen – sind wesentliche Grundlagen für eine nachhaltige und gerechte internationale Zusammenarbeit. Nur durch eine feministische Ausrichtung von Projekten lassen sich strukturelle Ungleichheiten gezielt und systematisch überwinden. Sowohl bei der Projektplanung und -implementierung als auch bei den projektbegleitenden Prozessen Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability und Learning (MEAL) bedarf es dafür mehr Flexibilität und Methodenoffenheit. In unserem Standpunkt formulieren wir Empfehlungen an das Auswärtige Amt (AA) und das Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ), wie sie feministische MEAL-Strategien in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit und humanitären Hilfe unterstützen können.

Feminist principles – such as the promotion of equality, inclusion, and the reflection on power imbalances – are essential foundations for sustainable and just international cooperation. Only through a feminist approach to projects can structural inequalities be systematically and effectively addressed. This requires greater flexibility and openness to diverse methods both in project planning and implementation, as well as in accompanying processes such as Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL). In our standpoeint, we provide recommendations to the Federal Foreign Office (AA) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) on how they can support feminist MEAL strategies in development cooperation and humanitarian assistance.
